The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation announced on Monday that Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show. The event is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This marks the rapper’s first appearance in the role.

Roc Nation has managed halftime production since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension to continue the role through 2029. Under this management, the shows have featured more hip-hop artists. The 2026 show in Santa Clara, California, starred Bad Bunny with guests Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.

The 2022 Los Angeles show featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Recent performers also include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023. Jay-Z, a 25-time Grammy winner, has never previously played the Super Bowl.

The rapper is currently touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. His 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He then played two shows in London and one in Paris in September.

Jay-Z closed his tour on October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. These final shows took place at the same venue where he will perform in February. The location serves as a direct lead-in to his upcoming halftime set.
