Jennifer Lawrence recalled a specific moment on set when she discovered that crew members who had not received approval were present while she filmed a nude scene. The Oscar-winning actress shared this account during a recent conversation with Alex Cooper, host of the podcast Call Her Daddy. She did not identify the specific film where the incident occurred, but she detailed her immediate reaction to the oversight.
Lawrence stated that she pushed back firmly against the presence of unauthorized personnel. She argued that establishing strict boundaries at the top of the industry is necessary to set a standard for everyone else. "There was like an instance on set where crew members who weren't approved when I was doing nudity, [they] were on set," she said. "And I came down hard on it purely because if we're not setting that kind of principle at the level at which we're doing it right now, then what on earth is going to happen to an 18-year-old unknown?"
The actress explained the dilemma facing less established performers in such situations. A young actress might feel pressured to stay silent to avoid being labeled difficult, or she might risk her reputation by speaking up. Lawrence said she wanted to clarify the reasoning behind the restriction for the crew. "So it was important to me to explain that to the people why that was not OK," she noted.
Her experience mirrors a similar account from Esmé Bianco, who acted in the first season of Game of Thrones. Bianco described a scene where the set was supposed to be closed, but she found three men holding a single flag over a light while she was nude. "I look behind me and there's three guys all holding one flag over a light. I'm buck naked," Bianco wrote in the book Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon. She also spoke up on set, demanding that the extra staff leave.
During the same interview, Lawrence confirmed her return to the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. She said she will be reuniting with former co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson for the new project.
