Downtown St. Pete Ice Cream Shop to Charge $4.97 Per Scoop

Residents and visitors to downtown St. Petersburg can expect to pay $4.97 for a single scoop of ice cream at a new shop opening on the 600 block of Central Avenue. The location will replace Brutique, which ceased operations in July after nine years.

The 1,500-square-foot storefront will become the eighth Ice & Cream Creamery location in Pinellas County. The chain currently operates seven other stores, including two on Clearwater Beach and single locations in Madeira Beach, Dunedin, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and Gulfport.

The menu features 48 flavors made in small batches with locally sourced ingredients. Classic options include butter pecan, rocky road, and mint chip. The list also contains red velvet cake, salted caramel peanut, and coconut almond fudge. Non-dairy and gluten-free choices are available, such as coconut milk ice cream and sugar-free vanilla.

Pricing extends to toppings and shakes. Customers can add items like Reese's peanut butter cups, Oreos, or gummy bears for 97 cents. Hand-spun milkshakes cost $6.50, while double and triple scoops are priced at $7.97 and $11.97, respectively.

The brand describes its Twisters as a variation of the Blizzard. The shop has not yet announced a specific opening date for the Central Avenue location.
