Airline passengers in Pensacola can secure expedited security screening this week through a temporary enrollment event. The program allows approved travelers to keep shoes, belts, and light jackets on while moving through checkpoints. Laptops and liquids compliant with the 3-1-1 rule must still remain inside carry-on bags.

The enrollment sessions run from Tuesday, November 3, to Friday, November 6, at the airport’s facility on 2430 Airport Boulevard. Staff will operate the registration desk in two daily blocks: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The location is Suite 225.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or lawful permanent residents. During the in-person appointment, individuals submit identity and citizenship documents, provide fingerprints, and have their photograph taken. The application fee is $76.75, a cost that covers the membership for five years once approved.

Travelers can reduce their time at the event by completing the initial application online at tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov before arriving. This step prepares the necessary data for the in-person verification process. The program currently serves over 200 airports across the country.

Most applicants receive their Known Traveler Number within three to five business days after the appointment. This number allows travelers to link their expedited status to their airline reservations. The enrollment window closes at 5 p.m. on Friday.
