Two individuals were discovered dead Thursday morning after a vehicle pursuit that originated from a reported kidnapping in Burleson. The incident began when public safety personnel responded to calls about an armed man in the 700 block of West Hidden Creek Parkway at approximately 7:45 a.m.

Police stated that the man was observed outside with a woman before he forced her into a vehicle. Initial reports identified the pair as estranged spouses. The driver fled the scene, traveling southbound on State Highway 174.

Burleson officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not comply, initiating a pursuit. The chase moved toward Chisholm Trail Parkway and concluded near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson.

Investigators found both the man and the woman dead inside the vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. Preliminary findings indicate the incident was a murder-suicide. Police confirmed that no law enforcement officers fired their weapons during the stop.

Several agencies assisted the Burleson Police Department during the response. These included the Johnson County, Parker County, and Tarrant County sheriff's offices, the Fort Worth Police Department's Air 1 helicopter unit, and the Texas Department of Public Safety. The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation.
